Medallion Experience

Volunteered with StartUP FIU at the HULTZ Prize competitions where I worked in the coordination of the event to encourage social fluency. The preparation for these prices took a lot of work in preparing due to the varies entrepreneurship ideas that were developed and presented at these events. Many students with different ideas had to pitch their social and sustainable ideas to better the refugee situation. I learned a lot about the refugee's displacement and what is being done to solve this issue. It was very encouraging and rewarding to work in this internship because I learned how ideas are developed to have a big social impact and how International Relation within countries play such a relevant role.

Proof of concept is a program created by StartUP FIU to give students, graduates and members of the community structured way to become an entrepreneur. From developing an idea to executing the initial project. I am an entrepreneur myself, working to launch my outdoors brand that promotes traveling. By being part of this program, I received many imperative tools to maintain focus on my goals and develop a strategic plan.

The sacredsea.org event to free whale lolita from the Miami Sea Aquarium was the first event I attended for my required hours. I was amazed by how beautiful this was because it made me realize that any cause involving nature is an international problem. Nature belongs to everyone and it does not matter where you come from, there is a bond between people fighting for the same cause.
